题目一:Useful Organic Transformations Using Metal Nanoparticles and Chiral Vicinal Diamine Chemistry

Abstract:
    Noble Fe3O4-metal nanocrystals as filtration free, magnetically separable catalysts for several organic reactions have been developed. These nanoparticles offer extremely convenient separation through the use of an external magnet. Recovered catalysts can be utilized for further reactions, thus offering recyclability. We also demonstrate that Pd nanoparticles can be prepared in very well defined shapes, which are then specifically linked to extremely selective transformations such as semihydrogenation of alkynes.
    We have recently developed a stereospecific synthesis of chiral vicinal diamines through the rearrangement of diimines prepared from 1,2-bis(2-hydroxyphenyl)- 1,2-diaminoethane (HPEN) and aldehydes.3 The chiral nonsymmetrical 2,3-disubstituted vicinal diamines prepared by diaza-Cope rearrangement (DCR) could serve as suitable intermediates for the preparation of many chiral vicinal diamine derivatives.

题目二:Enantioselective Catalysis by Chiral Brønsted Acids and Bases

Abstract:
    Activation of oxygenated functional groups other than imines and related functional groups is our recent research interest. To expand the scope of chiral Brønsted acid catalysis, recently a novel chiral bis-phosphoric acid was developed as a highly active and efficient enantioselective catalyst in our group.
    On the other hand, intense interest has been devoted to the development of chiral uncharged organosuperbase catalysts during the past decade. In an effort to expand the scope of chiral Brønsted base catalysis, development of much stronger organosuperbase is highly demanded. We hence designed a pseudo C2-symmetric bis(guanidino)iminophosphorane as a novel family of chiral organosuperbases. In the presentation, I would like to introduce the recent progress of enantioselective catalysis using chiral Brønsted acid catalysts and base catalysts.
