We will describe our focus on the development of designed p300/CBP histone acetyltransferase (HAT) inhibitors as biological tools. We will also discuss aspects of p300/CBP HAT mechanism and regulation gleaned from enzymatic studies. In addition, methods for installing acetyl-Lys mimics and HAT inhibitor elements site-specifically into peptides and proteins will be high-lighted. |
